Weathered wood grain shaped by years of Lāna'i sun and trade wind
Credentials

Where We Come From.

The foundation of this practice is island knowledge accumulated over decades, not credentials assembled for a proposal. The distinction matters.

Provenance

An island no one is born on.

No one is born on Lānaʻi. The island has no delivery ward, so even island families welcome their children on Maui or Oʻahu and bring them home. Everyone here chose this island, and then earned it, through years of living and working inside its rhythms.

That is the practice's story too. The founders came from the mainland and from the far side of the Pacific. The team gathers from across Hawaiʻi and the wider Pacific, from Kosrae to the Philippines. What makes an islander is not a birthplace. It is the years.

01

Island Backgrounds

The founders came up through the island's finest houses: Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi, Sensei Lānaʻi, and Hotel Lānaʻi, in fine dining and beverage leadership, corporate training, and front desk and concierge service. The wider team carries the same pedigree: our lead groundskeeper supervised the celebrated gardens of Sensei Lānaʻi, and some of our people still hold posts at Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi today.

02

On Lānaʻi Since 2007

Jared's roots on Lānaʻi reach back to 2007. Together, he and Jolie have cared for private residences here continuously since 2014, first as sole proprietors. Lanai Estate Stewardship LLC, formed in 2026, is the Hawaii limited liability company that formalizes the same work under the same hands.

03

Rooted in Place

Lānaʻi is one of the most privately held islands in the United States. Understanding its microweather, its seasonal patterns, the rhythms of its trade winds, and the relationships within its artisan community is knowledge that accumulates over years of island life, not months of on-site visits. Our team lives and works here year-round.

04

A Private Practice

We serve a small number of residences by design. The work demands full attention, and full attention cannot be distributed across an unlimited list of clients. We take on new stewardship relationships only when we are confident we can meet the standard the residence deserves.

Formation

Legal standing and operating structure.

Lanai Estate Stewardship LLC is a limited liability company registered in the State of Hawaii in 2026. Its founders have cared for Lānaʻi residences continuously since 2014, operating as sole proprietors before forming the LLC. The practice carries commercial general liability coverage, and we operate under a written stewardship agreement with each client, reviewed and signed before work begins.

Supporting documentation, including certificates of insurance and formation, is shared during a private introduction at the appropriate stage.

Affiliations & Standards

The standards we hold the work to.

Island knowledge is earned by living here. These credentials were earned the formal way, through certification programs with names behind them, and each one is current, verifiable, and held by the hands that do the work:

  • International Detailing Association, Certified Detailer (CD)

The recognized professional standard for vehicle care. Paint, leather, glass, and trim are treated to a documented method by a certified hand, so the vehicles of a residence receive the same standard of care as the residence itself.

  • United Bicycle Institute, Certified Bicycle Technician

Professional training from one of the industry's most respected technical institutes, completed through the full program: Introduction to Bicycle Maintenance, Professional Repair and Shop Operation, and advanced certifications in Suspension and Wheelbuilding. Guest bicycles are tuned and safety-checked by a trained professional before a single ride leaves the drive.

Vetting & Confidentiality

Who sets foot on your estate, and what they are held to.

Estate work is only as private as the people who do it. We keep the circle small and known: the work is carried by our own team, hired and trained by the principals and held to the house standard, and every tradesperson we bring in is chosen deliberately, never hired from a list. No anonymous crews, no rotating subcontractors.

Our vendor network is part of the engagement, not a public directory. Those relationships open to a client once a stewardship agreement is signed. From there, when a project calls for licensed trades or specialty expertise beyond the scope we carry ourselves, we search as widely as the work deserves: the island first, then the neighbor islands and the mainland when the right professional is elsewhere. We identify the best viable option, make the introduction, and manage the engagement to our standard, so the owner gains the specialist without the search.

Everyone who works on a residence is briefed on a need-to-know basis and held to the same discretion we practice ourselves. What we record is limited to what is useful. Private details are never written where they could be exposed, and nothing about an estate or its owner is discussed beyond the work itself.

Vendor Vetting

What a trade or specialist must clear before setting foot on an estate.

  • Referred by a trusted island relationship or a trade we already work with, never sourced from an open listing.

  • Licensed and insured for the work at hand, with documentation confirmed before the first visit.

  • Briefed in person on access, privacy expectations, and what may never be discussed beyond the work itself.

  • Supervised on-site by our own team for the duration of the engagement, never left with unsupervised access.

  • Held to the same reporting rhythm as our in-house disciplines, with no separate or informal arrangement.

Reference Policy

Our standard for sharing references.

  • References are shared only during a private introduction.

  • Written consent from the referring client is required before any name is shared.

  • No client or estate is identified publicly, in any material, without explicit permission.

  • New introductions are accepted only when genuine fit is apparent on both sides.

The right introduction changes everything.

If you would like to speak further, we welcome the conversation. We welcome it equally from an advisor who is considering an introduction. Write to us at inquiries@lanaiestatestewardship.com or use the form below.
