Credentials

Where We Come From.

The foundation of this practice is island knowledge accumulated over decades, not credentials assembled for a proposal. The distinction matters.

Provenance

Grown on the island, not imported to it.

Private estate work requires a specific combination: deep local knowledge, the professional discipline of a five-star house, and the judgment to work without supervision. Those qualities do not transfer in from the mainland. They are built on the island, through years of doing the work.

Our team holds all of them. The details of that background are outlined below.

01

Island Backgrounds

The founding team came up through the island's finest houses: Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi, Sensei Lānaʻi, and Hotel Lānaʻi. Their combined experience spans landscaping, housekeeping, food and beverage, cultural interpretation, and concierge work. That breadth is why one team can hold every part of an estate.

02

Founded 2014

Lanai Estate Stewardship LLC was established on Lānaʻi in 2014 as a Hawaii limited liability company. The practice has operated continuously under the same ownership since its founding, with no change in direction, principals, or the island it calls home.

03

Rooted in Place

Lānaʻi is one of the most privately held islands in the United States. Understanding its microweather, its seasonal patterns, the rhythms of its trade winds, the relationships between its artisan community — that knowledge accumulates over years of island life, not months of on-site visits. Our team lives and works here year-round.

04

A Private Practice

We serve a small number of residences by design. The work demands full attention, and full attention cannot be distributed across an unlimited list of clients. We take on new stewardship relationships only when we are confident we can meet the standard the residence deserves.

Formation

Legal standing and operating structure.

Lanai Estate Stewardship LLC is a limited liability company registered in the State of Hawaii, with continuous operations on Lānaʻi since 2014. We carry appropriate liability coverage and operate under a written stewardship agreement with each client, reviewed and signed before work begins.

Supporting documentation — including certificates of insurance and formation — is shared during a private introduction at the appropriate stage.

Reference Policy

Our standard for sharing references.

  • References are shared only during a private introduction.

  • Written consent from the referring client is required before any name is shared.

  • No client or estate is identified publicly, in any material, without explicit permission.

  • New introductions are accepted only when genuine fit is apparent on both sides.

The right introduction changes everything.
